LORIS MALAGUZZI INTERNATIONAL CENTER

Loris Malaguzzi International Center

The Loris Malaguzzi International Center is located where Locatelli, a leading company in the Reggio Emilia agribusiness, once stood.

Reborn in 2012, this place holds a new soul: it is the beating heart of an educational revolution that places children, their potential, and their right to participatory and creative learning at the center.

Inspired by the thinking of educationalist Loris Malaguzzi, the Center embodies the vision of a laboratory open to the world, where children and adults meet to grow together , building a community founded on knowledge, curiosity, and dialogue.

Its identity is based on the Reggio Emilia Approach , a philosophy that considers every child rich in potential and capable of learning through multiple languages, always in connection with others. Here, interactive workshops, exhibitions, and research programs documenting local and international educational experiences intertwine, while spacious, bright spaces welcome families, teachers, students, and professionals in an environment that fosters creativity and sharing. Home to Reggio Children and the Reggio Children Foundation, it regularly hosts study groups and training programs for teachers, educators, and pedagogists from around the world.
