The historic arm of Viale Ramazzini, closed to traffic for decades, has been given a new lease of life as Viale delle Officine Meccaniche Reggiane.

Reopened in May 2022, it connects the Innovation Park to the Reggio Emilia Airport area and the RCF Arena.

The avenue's location, in the northern part of the former Reggiane area, is strategic: it crosses the central sector of the Innovation Park and directly connects the city's access roads—the ring roads, Via dell'Aeronautica, and Viale del Partigiano—with the CIM and the train station, becoming a hub for private, public, and rail transportation.

Today, Viale delle Officine Meccaniche Reggiane is not just a transit point but a new identifying feature for the entire Santa Croce neighborhood as well as a driving force for the development of the entire area.
