Reggiane Innovation Park is a European hub of services and functions with a very high potential for innovation, born from the regeneration of the historic Officine Meccaniche Reggiane, built in 1904. Once an emblematic workplace of modernity and driving force of the Italian industrial growth of the twentieth century, today, following the restoration of the original structures, a scientific-humanistic technological hub, which brings together university and research centers, businesses and public administration in a unique location of great charm. It is the fulcrum of an entire territorial system, aimed at the development of industrial research and technology transfer, at the birth of new businesses and the growth of existing ones, at the attraction of skills and creative talents.
While the redevelopment of the Reggiane area is underway, the first core of the Innovation Park is operational and consists of two research centers and a cluster of important innovative companies: the Loris Malaguzzi International Center for education (completed in 2012), the Technopole of the High Technology Network of the Emilia-Romagna Region (inaugurated in 2013), the Shed #18 (inaugurated in 2019).
