Reggiane Innovation Park is a hub of entrepreneurship and creativity, ingenuity and culture. Just outside Reggio Emilia's historic center, an ever-evolving neighborhood has taken shape, a place for creating, working, living, and having fun. Starting with the restoration and regeneration of historic buildings and factories, a place for everyone has been created: a community center, a uniquely aesthetic urban space founded on the values of connection, sustainability, and the encounter of diversity.
A heritage that is reborn
Through urban regeneration projects that have won national and international awards, the area once occupied by the Officine Meccaniche Reggiane has found new life.
Leading and coordinating this process is STU Reggiane SpA , the urban transformation company established in 2015 and owned by the Municipality of Reggio Emilia and Iren Smart Solutions (formerly Iren Rinnovabili), created with the aim of returning this symbolic area to the city, regenerating it and reconnecting it to its urban and social fabric.
Warehouses 15B, 15C, 17, 18 , and 19 house the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, research centers, high-tech companies, professional associations, and start-up incubators: a beating heart that unites knowledge and innovation.
Alongside the production spaces, Reggiane Parco Innovazione opens up to the city with basketball courts , one of the largest skate parks in Europe, and green areas for sports and intergenerational encounters.
The Loris Malaguzzi International Center and the Caffarri Animal Feed Factory enrich its cultural and educational identity; while the reopening of the historic Viale Ramazzini, now Viale delle Officine Meccaniche Reggiane, has reconnected the neighborhood to the Campovolo area, which now houses the RCF Arena, one of the largest fully equipped concert venues in Europe.
The project is constantly evolving: among the upcoming interventions, the restoration of the Cathedral , the Palazzina Emme and the Rambla , destined to become a new connecting axis between the Santa Croce district and the historic station district.
